Huxera Wiki

PvP & Death

Huxera is an open PvP server, but a long way from a free-for-all. Attacking players carries real consequences, dying to a stronger player costs you far less than dying to an equal one, and low levels are protected outright. This page covers all of it.

Type !pvp in-game for a live readout of everything on this page as it applies to you right now — your skull timer, PvP experience earned and remaining, your level range, your current unfair fight reduction and your blessing status.
Who Can Be Attacked
  • Nobody below level 20. Players under the protection level cannot attack or be attacked.
  • Below level 100 you're insured. If you die without a skull, adventurer's blessings are applied automatically at the moment of death, so you keep almost everything. Get any skull and this protection stops applying.
Skulls
Skull How you get it How long it lasts
White Skull Attacking another player first. 15 minutes. While you wear it, others can fight back without penalty.
Red Skull 6 unjustified kills. Stays as long as your frag count is at or above 6.
Black Skull 10 unjustified kills. 3 days. The harshest penalty on the server.

Each individual frag expires 5 hours after you earn it, so a skull clears itself over time as your kills age out. Check exactly where you stand with !kills or !frags, which lists every frag and when it expires.

A frag remover wipes your unjustified kills and clears a red or black skull instantly. You earn one by completing the Death Task in full. It must be used in a protection zone, only works if you actually have a red or black skull, and has a 48 hour cooldown.
Unfair Fight Reduction

This is the single most important mechanic to understand on Huxera. When you're killed by players who massively outclass you — whether one much higher level, or several at once — the game automatically reduces how much you lose.

The reduction is based on your level compared to the combined levels of everyone who attacked you. The bigger that gap, the less you lose, up to a maximum of 80% off your experience, skill and item loss.

SituationResult
Killed by someone far above your levelLarge reduction — often the majority of your loss removed.
Killed by several players at onceTheir levels are added together, so being outnumbered increases your reduction.
Killed by someone at or below your levelNo reduction. A fair fight is a fair fight.
Monsters did most of the damageYour reduction is cut down — it only protects against genuine player pressure.

Very small reductions are discarded entirely rather than applied, so the system only steps in when a fight was genuinely lopsided. You can see your current value at any time with !pvp.

PvP Experience

Killing players grants experience, but it's deliberately capped and heavily restricted so that PvP is worth doing without becoming a leveling strategy.

RuleDetail
Level rangeYou only earn from players between 10% below and 20% above your own level. A level 500 character earns from roughly 450–600.
Solo killsYou receive at most 35% of the experience your victim lost.
Group killsWhoever dealt the most damage takes half of the victim's lost experience; the rest is split among the other killers, weighted by damage dealt.
Repeat killsEach additional kill on the same player pays 5% less, and stops entirely after 5 kills.
Per kill capNo single kill can exceed 1,000,000 experience.
Per player capScales with your level — from 1,000,000 in the low levels up to 25,000,000 at the top.
Per server save cap25,000,000 experience total from PvP, and a maximum of 50 rewarding kills. Resets every server save.
No rewards fromParty members, guild members, or anyone sharing your IP address.
Protecting Yourself
ProtectionHow it works
Blessings Buy all five at once with !bless, paid from your inventory or bank. The cost is 36,000 gold plus 200 per level above 80, capped at 120,000 gold — so from level 500 onward it never costs more than that. Blessings dramatically reduce what you lose on death.
Amulet of Loss Buy one with !aol. Protects your equipment when you die.
Stuffed Bunny of Death Reclaims 60% of the experience you lost on your most recent death. Single use, and it only ever holds your latest death — a new death replaces what was stored rather than adding to it. Available from the Greedy Goblin for 250 Huxera Tokens.
Adventurer's Blessing Free and automatic below level 100, as long as you die without a skull.
Bounty Hunting

Put a price on someone's head and let the server do the rest. Bounties are announced worldwide when placed and again when claimed.

CommandWhat it does
!hunt name, currency, amountPlaces a bounty on a player.
!hunt infoShows every active bounty, from anywhere in the world (once per 60 seconds).
CurrencyMinimumMaximum
Gold (from your bank)100,00010,000,000
Huxera tokens1500
Magical dust103,000

You must be at least level 80 to place a bounty, and targets must be at least level 50. When a hunted player dies, the reward goes to the most damage killer first, then the last hit killer. There is also a physical bounty board in Thais Depot showing the live list.

Organised PvP
FormatDetails
Guild Wars Declare and manage wars entirely in-game with !war — invite, accept, reject, cancel and end — along with a shared guild bank for balance, deposits and withdrawals. Active wars appear on the Guilds pages.
Private Wars Book a private arena with !private. You choose the map, the duration and the player cap, and can disable Stone Skin Amulets, Might Rings, area spells and area runes — along with experience and item loss, so nobody pays for practice. Maps include remakes of Dust2, Italy, an ARAM-style map and classic Edron.
Tournaments Run by the team with cash and premium point prizes, in bracket format inside private arenas with loss disabled. Every top team gets rewarded, not just the winner. Watch Discord for announcements.
Rules and Consequences

Open PvP does not mean anything goes. Read the Server Rules in full — but two things are worth calling out here:

  • Multi-clienting in events is forbidden and blocked by default. Attempting to work around it is punishable.
  • Frag farming doesn't work. The Death Task checks IP addresses, party and guild membership and the war system, so kills on your own characters or allies earn nothing at all.

Players who break the rules badly enough can end up in the Thais sewers prison, where the only way out is mining ore until you've paid for your release.
